Mathias Schreiber is using TYPO3 since 2002 as a fulltime profession.
He participated in the very first developer meetings, hosted the very first Usergroup Meeting ever (in Wuppertal, Germany in 2002) and held over 50 training session at most of todays well known TYPO3 agencies.

He is founder of wmdb Systems Germany which focusses on integrating enterprise processes into TYPO3 (namely SAP, CRM and DRM systems).

Abstract:

We will show several large DAM installations and explain how DAM can make you life with assets easier and simpler.
We will cover complex issues like asset-sets and a press & media database which reduces the load on the media department.

Both databases feature more than 25.000 assets and create an amount of several terrabytes of traffic each month.

We will also explain how sponsored projects can increase the overall features and quality of an open-source product by showing strategies how to enable clients to sponsor a OSS project thus improving the product.

Finally we will take a look at future features like full-blown video integration, to give you an outlook of what is really possible with DAM.
