This years TYPO3 Developer Days T3DD09 took place from May 14th to 17th in Elmshorn, Germany. The event was located in "Nordakademie" which also sponsored the location.
TYPO3 enthusiasts from all around the world including Japan, Ecuador and Cambodia, had a great time exchanging the latest knowledge about TYPO3.
Four days of knowhow packed talks and presentations featured highly interesting topics like "optimal transition from TYPO3 version 4 to version 5", "cool new features in version 5" and more generally applicable topics like "performance optimization", "Ext JS" or "Security".
After several hours of talks the evening program guaranteed loads of fun. Highlight was Saturday night where 60+ developers entered the exclusively booked (thanks to Badepark Elmshorn) swimming pool. Everybody could participate in a trial scuba diving course (thanks to Schlickteufel Elmshorn), relax in a whirl pool (scientists found out that 19 developers can fit in ONE whirlpool if positioned correctly) or use the super waterslide.
Being a perfect mix of high skill developer meeting and socializing event the TYPO3 Developer Days once again proved that work can be fun and efficient at the same time.
To sum it up: a great event no TYPO3 geek should miss.
